It is always easier for readers to perceive information when it consists of small pieces of text, constantly alternating between themselves and presented in a variety of fonts: bold or italic, color or black and white, small or large. It is not for nothing that newspapers and magazines always use this technique, since it is very easy to change the text format in a computer program. To do this, you need any well-known text editor.
Necessary
Text editor, formatting bar
Instructions
Step 1
Start a well-known text editor. It can be a simple Notepad or a starter Word Pad editor. They are contained in the "Standard" group of the Windows operating system. To open them, click on the bottom menu "Start" on the desktop of your personal computer. Then go to the "All Programs" section. This is where the group of standard commands is located. Click Standard.
Step 2
You can also use professional text editors such as "Microsoft Office Word", "Microsoft Publisher" or their free equivalent - the text editor "AbiWord". The latter is distributed freely on the Internet and has a free General Public License (GPL). It can be downloaded from the local network at any time.
Step 3
All of the above programs for typing and processing text information have a special text formatting panel. This panel is most often found in the View menu and is part of the toolbar. Visually, this service looks like a long strip, which contains command buttons: "Styles and Formatting", "Font", "Font Size", "Bold", "Italic" (ie italic font), "Underline font" and other elements responsible for additional functions.
Step 4
Select the part of the text you need to process with the right mouse button. Go to the format bar and click the corresponding button. The font will change according to the selected function.
Step 5
Additionally, you can set the direction of the text. To do this, go to the top menu bar, the "Format" tab. Next, click the "Text Direction" item and set the desired value. Go back to the formatting panel, as you can change the format of the text there using additional functions. Adjust the text positioning options on the document page: Left, Center, Right, or Width.
Step 6
If necessary, change the line spacing and divide the text into paragraphs and subparagraphs using the adjacent Numbered List and Bulleted List commands. Adjust the color scheme of the font. Highlight important text elements with a bright marker. Set padding and outer borders. After that, the text will take on a completely different look - interesting for the reader.
