In just a few decades, scientific progress has made a big leap in its development, and now it is difficult to imagine everyday life without modern technologies. After all, even photos can now be viewed not only in the photo album, but also on a computer and even on DVD, phone, tablet. To do this, you just need to make a slideshow, add suitable music to it and record in the required format.

Necessary

  • - photos for slideshow;
  • - a music file (or several);
  • - CD-disk or any other information carrier;
  • - Windows Movie Maker program.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the photos you are going to add to the future slideshow. For it, you can use images taken with a phone, camera and scanned photos. Select the appropriate music file. If you are going to use a lot of photos in your slideshow, you may need multiple audio files.

Step 2

Work in Windows Movie Maker. Start Windows Movie Maker (included with most Windows operating systems). You can find it by clicking the "Start" button on the desktop and going to the "All Programs" section. For convenience, while working with the application on the desktop, make a shortcut to the program. This is especially necessary if you often refer to this application.

Step 3

In the left part of the working window, find the item "Import image". Click the appropriate caption, then in the window that opens, specify the location of the photos selected for the slideshow, mark the necessary images and add them to the project by clicking the "Import" button.

Step 4

Then place the music file into the project. It is added similarly to images. That is, first you need to go to the "Import sound or music" section, specify the folder with the music, select the file and import it into the project.

Step 5

Now select the images and drag them to the bottom box on the storyboard scale. In the lower box on the top row, select Timeline Display. Add an audio file to the "Sound or Music" line. On the storyboard scale, you can place the images in the order you want by simply dragging the files forward or backward.

Step 6

When you have added all the necessary files to the project, go to the section "Film editing". Open the submenu "View video transitions", "View video effects", after which the available effects and transitions will open in the central part of the working window. Select the ones you like and drag them onto the storyboard scale.

Step 7

Add text effects and titles to your movie. Go to the "Creating Titles and Titles" section. Indicate where exactly the title and credits should be added, write the required text. Change animation, font, and text color as needed. See how you get the title in the project. If you are satisfied with the result, click on the inscription "Done, add a title to the movie." You can make several different captions and titles in a slideshow.

Step 8

You can also use the "Create Auto Film" function, which will greatly speed up the process of processing and creating a slide show. Go to this submenu and select one of the styles suggested by the program: movie highlighting, music video, flip and shift, sports news, vintage movies.

Step 9

After the slideshow is ready, all that remains is to record it. To do this, in the "File" menu, select the "Save movie file" option (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P). Then, in the window that opens, specify the location for saving the future movie, enter its name in the appropriate line. Select a folder to save your movie and click Next.

Step 10

In a new window that opens, you can enter additional parameters of the movie, its quality and for which device you plan to record the slideshow. Click "Next" and wait for the process to finish. Then you can open the created movie and save it to the selected device.

Step 11

To write a file to a CD-disk, right-click on it, select the "Send" option and specify the save destination - the drive. Then the message "There are files waiting to be written to disk" will appear in a new window. Click on this notification and in a new window on the toolbar select the option "Burn to CD". Then enter the name of the disc, specify the recording speed, put a check mark in the window opposite the inscription "Close the wizard when the files are written" and click "Next"

Step 12

To write a file saved on your computer to a USB flash drive or phone, you can use the "Send" function or copy the file, open your media and the folder where you want to place the slideshow. Paste the file into a folder and you can view it at any time convenient for you.
