There are both standard and third-party software utilities for inserting audio recordings into slideshows. Their difference is in the additional editing options provided to the user.

Instructions
Step 1
Use the standard Windows Movie Maker video editing software that opens from the Start menu. Open an existing presentation and then proceed to add a music file.
Step 2
Drag it with the left mouse button to the area of your slideshow, then connect and adjust so that their duration matches.
Step 3
Also adjust, if necessary, the time interval between slides according to the audio recording. Save the slideshow. Please note that you can only use certain audio recording formats when adding it, for example, mp3. Windows Movie Maker does not support inserting lossless recordings into slides.
Step 4
If your slide presentation was not done in advance, also use this program to create it. Add files from the edit menu at the top right of the screen, while choosing an image mode. Drag and drop them onto the storyboard and adjust the transition effects. After that also add a music file, transfer it to the storyboard and match the duration.
Step 5
Download and install Photodex ProShow Gold software utility on your computer as an alternative to the standard one. In addition to basic slideshow editing functions, it also has many other useful features, for example, it can burn photos to discs in a format suitable for viewing on a TV. She can also make a screensaver from your photos. This program should be used if you understand the general principle of work of such editors, know how to edit photos and you need additional effects for transitions between slides.
