For those who are familiar with Photoshop, it is no secret that to create really interesting effects, you usually cannot do without several layers. Layers are separate images and can not only be deleted and copied, but also swapped in the layer lists.

Instructions

Step 1

In order not to waste time searching for the necessary pictures for the lesson, as well as to obtain new and interesting information, it is proposed to consider the lesson about changing layers in places by creating an image from scratch and further working with it.

Step 2

Create a new image. To do this, select the "File" - "New" menu item and in the window that appears, set any parameters convenient for you, taking into account only the fact that work is supposed to be done with color images (since in this case the effect of working with layers will be more noticeable) …

Step 3

Create an image based on the "Clouds" filter. To do this, use such menu items as “Filter” - “Render” - “Clouds”. If you do not like the initial version of the filter, then just press the key combination Ctrl + F until you get the desired result. As a result, you should get something similar to what is shown in the picture.

Step 4

Create a floatable layer based on this image, because the base layer is rigidly fixed in its position and cannot be moved. To create the first duplicate layer, right-click on the image of the base layer in the list of layers and use such a menu item as “Duplicate layer” - you will see a window in which you can name the new layer and indicate which document it will refer to, after which you will see a copy of the base layer, which can be moved up and down the list of layers.

Step 5

Create another layer based on the previous duplicate. To do this, use the instructions in the previous step. This is necessary if only because if we have only 1 layer, then there is nothing to swap it with.

Step 6

Move the mouse cursor over the desired layer so that the cursor takes the form of a hand, then press the left mouse button and without releasing it, move the selected layer up or down the list. Release the left mouse button. For greater clarity, the second layer can be assigned other colors.
