Failure of some devices on a personal computer causes a BSoD error to appear. This crash is usually caused by installing the wrong drivers or not working properly.
Instructions
Step 1
If you encounter this problem, then study the content of the blue screen text. Typically, the bottom of the window describes the cause of the problem or the files with which it is associated. First, try just restarting your computer. Sometimes a BSoD error is the result of a one-time program crash. It may not appear in the future for a long time.
Step 2
If, after rebooting, you again encounter this problem, then press the Ctrl, alt="Image" and Delete keys and hold down the F8 key. After a while, a menu of additional boot options will appear on the screen. Select "Windows Safe Mode". Confirm the start of the selected operating mode of the OS.
Step 3
Wait for the computer to boot up and open Control Panel. Select the System and Security menu and open the Backup and Restore item. Click on the item "Restore system parameters or computer". Examine the list of recovery checkpoints. Select the newly created archive and click the "Restore" button. Wait until this process completes and the computer restarts.
Step 4
Open the DVD drive tray and insert the Windows installation disc into it. Restart your computer and run the setup preparation program. Open the Advanced Recovery Options menu and select Startup Repair. Wait while the program fixes the system boot files. This method is suitable for Windows 7 and Vista operating systems.
Step 5
If you are using Windows XP, then press the R key after the corresponding installer window opens. Confirm the start of the restoration of the operating state of the operating system. Sometimes uninstalling the most recently installed drivers or programs can help prevent a blue screen. Complete this procedure using the available methods.
