The need to rename system folders is not so common. But there are still times when you need to rename the username or organization name that were entered during the installation of the operating system. There are times when you need to rename the system folder to avoid confusion with usernames on a particular computer.
Necessary
Computer, Renamer utility, Internet access
Instructions
Step 1
There is no easy way to rename it. All system folders are tied to the operating system registry. And if they could be renamed like any others, then after renaming the system folder, the operating system simply would not start. You need to rename system folders without breaking the Windows registry using special utilities. For beginners, using the Renamer utility is a good option. Download and install the utility on your computer. The program is available for download and is distributed completely free of charge.
Step 2
After running the utility, explore the interface. All commands are available on the program panel. When you click on the main command, the additional programs panel opens. The position of the commands may differ depending on the version of the program. Use the program menu to select the folders you want to rename. Although the program can rename many folders at the same time, it is still better to rename system folders one at a time.
Step 3
Select the Browser line. A list of folders stored on your computer will open. Select the system folder you need from the list. There may be a warning about the danger of renaming this folder. Right-click on the selected file, select the add to free select command, and in it, the free select tab. The folder you sent will be there. Click on it and select the manual rename command, and enter a new folder name.
Step 4
If the folder has not been renamed, the renaming function may be locked in the program menu. If so, disable the lock in the program menu.
