To create video at home, you don't need to have professional recording and editing devices at your disposal. An amateur camcorder and video editing software are enough for this.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the device with which you will record video. It can be either a camcorder or photo camera (with support for video recording), or a mobile phone with good recording quality. After you shoot the necessary material, connect the device to the computer and copy all the video files into its memory.
Step 2
Decide on the software you will use to create videos at home. A typical example is Windows Movie Maker included with the Windows operating system. It is perfect for making home videos. You can also use more powerful editing and editing applications such as Nero Vision.
Step 3
Start Windows Movie Maker. Click on the "File" menu and select "Import to Collections". In the dialog box that opens, find the necessary video files, select them and click the "Import" button. Wait until the end of the process, after which the files will be in the collection of the program. Also, videos can be placed into collections by simply dragging and dropping with the mouse.
Step 4
Place the video files on the storyboard at the bottom of the program window in the order in which you want them to appear in the finished video. To do this, left-click on the video file in the collection and, without releasing the mouse button, drag it onto the storyboard.
Step 5
Edit the files on the storyboard. To trim unnecessary video fragments, click on the file being edited, set the slider on the preview in the right part of the program window to the desired frame and click the "Split clip into two parts by current frame" button. In the same way, cut off all unnecessary parts of the video and delete them using the delete button.
Step 6
Add video effects and transitions between parts of the video. To do this, in the right part of the program window, select the "Film editing" section. Click on the desired subsection, select the desired effect or transition and drag it to the appropriate place on the storyboard.
Step 7
To add an audio track to your video, import the audio file into the collection. Then drag it onto the storyboard.
Step 8
Save the result. Select "File" -> "Save Movie File", select "My Computer" and click "Next". Give your video a name and choose a location to save. Click on the "Next" button and wait for the process to finish.
