  • - Adobe Audition software;
  • - connection cable;

Step 1

Any audio player can be used as a cassette deck, but it is best to use a good radio. High quality radios maintain sound quality over the years. A radio tape recorder or other device with a cassette deck must be connected to a computer or laptop with a connecting cable.

Step 2

When choosing a cable, first of all, you should rely on the type of jacks of both devices. As a rule, jacks of the type 3, 5 and RCA (tulips) are considered the standard. To know which connector cable you should buy, look at the Out or Line Out on your cassette player and recorder. If you do not have a cable with suitable connectors, you can use jack 3, 5 → RCA adapters and vice versa.

After connecting the equipment, you will need to install any version of Adobe Audition software, preferably using the original one (with support for English). During the installation process, follow the prompts that will be displayed by the installer.

Check the box next to Volume Line Input to receive the input signal from the sound card. Leave the volume control in the same position, the default is medium.
