Recovering bad sectors on a hard disk is possible only if the damage is not mechanical. Physical defects cannot be corrected, not only at home, but often in a production environment. Recovering a damaged hard drive at a low level can be carried out using the specialized application HDD Regenerator.

Instructions
Step 1
Download and install HDD Regenerator on your computer. The program is paid but has a free trial version. Run the installed application and select the "Find to …" command at the top of the main program window. Wait until all connected hard drives are identified in the next dialog box and specify the volume to be restored. Click the Start button.
Step 2
If it is impossible to obtain exclusive access to some partitions of hard drives, the program will offer to close all open applications and restart the system. Confirm the action by clicking the Retry button or manually close all programs using the Task Manager utility. Please note that even failure to reboot will not prevent HDD Regenerator from recovering bad sectors.
Step 3
Enter the value 1 in the Enter choice line in the new program window and confirm your choice by pressing the Enter function key. Control the scanning process of the selected disk in the next dialog box and wait for the completion of the recovery process, which is carried out in automatic mode.
Step 4
Use the ability to run an application in DOS mode to increase the speed of the program. To do this, connect the Flash-card and launch the application. Select the "Bootable USB flash drive …" option and select the mounted volume. Confirm the formatting of the disk by clicking the OK button in the warning window and wait until the process of recovering bad sectors is complete. It should be remembered that the speed of the application is directly related to the number of bad sectors and therefore can take up to several days of continuous work.

Please note that if you need to interrupt the program, you must use the Esc button and confirm your decision in the system request window by pressing the Esc button again.
