Step 1

Open MS Word, create a document to be printed on a virtual printer. Go to the "File" menu, select the "Print" command, select the Do Pdf printer from the list. Next, select the print options in the same way as for normal printing. Set the number of copies to 1. Next, select the number of sheets per page, for example, 2. Select the portrait orientation.

In the Save PDF file window that opens, select where the program will save the printed file using the "Browse" command, then click "OK". Next, the Adobe Reader window will open, displaying the document that you managed to print on the virtual printer.

Install a virtual printer on Ubuntu OS. To do this, go to the menu item "Programs" - "Standard", select "Terminal". Install the cups-pdf package with it.

Configure the installation of the virtual printer using the web interface of the cups program, to do this, launch any browser, enter the address in the address bar https:// localhost: 631 / admin /, if prompted, enter the username "root" and password. Add the CUPS-PDF (Virtual PDF Printer) printer, select the printer type - Post Script. Next, select the printer driver, configure the default print settings
