A clipboard is an area in RAM where data is written when it is copied or moved from one place to another. The need to find out the content usually arises when there is a suspicion of viruses, when third-party information is being recorded. It is not difficult to view the buffer.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to check the contents of the clipboard, you can use special programs to intercept data from it, but it is much easier to use the standard tools of the operating system.
Step 2
Fill the clipboard with some information (for a test check). The easiest way is to open any text editor and write any word or even several in it.
Step 3
Select the typed text with the left mouse button. On the selected area, right-click to bring up the context menu, in which use the "Copy" item. Or you can use the key combination Ctrl + C ("Copy"). As a result, the text you typed is entered into the buffer.
Step 4
Open the "Start" menu by clicking the button of the same name on the taskbar. In the menu that appears, select the "Run" option. Or use the Win + R key combination.
Step 5
Type the command “clipbrd” in the window that appears and press the Enter key. As a result, a window with the contents of the clipboard will open in front of you.
This window displays the contents of the buffer in real time. For example, you can press the PrtSc key (to take a screenshot of the desktop), and then you will find that the image of the desktop is displayed in the buffer window.
Step 6
Buffer data is processed in the same way as regular files - using the editor, you can either save them or open previously saved ones. Use menu items such as "File" - "Save As" to save data from the clipboard to a special file with the extension ".clp".
Step 7
Click on the "Delete" button on the toolbar (looks like a black cross) of the clipboard data editor, if you need to clear the memory of this information.
