The computer database is designed to store the settings of the operating system and application software. Some applications and settings are not available to the general user. To gain access, you need to enter the computer's system registry or run the OS as an administrator.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - Windows OS.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your computer or restart if it is on. When the operating system starts up, press the F12 button. At the same time, options for further loading the system appear on the black screen of the computer.
Step 2
Use the Up and Down keys to select Windows Safe Mode and press Enter. A list of accounts for this computer appears and a new account is "Administrator". This username has no password in most cases. Log in using this entry.
Step 3
From the Start menu, find "Control Panel" and select "Account Management." Create a new username with administrator rights and set a password. Use this entry to log into the operating system again.
Step 4
To enter the system registry of your computer, go to the "Start" menu, find the "Run" command there. You can also open the required window by pressing the WIN and R keys. A window called "Launch the program" appears.
Step 5
In the empty "Open" field, enter regedit and click OK. After executing the command, the computer's registry starts. On the left in the window that opens, there is a registry control panel that allows you to change the computer settings. Working with the registry editor is practically no different from the explorer.
Step 6
Enter the computer database management program in a different way. To do this, find the shortcut "My Computer" on the desktop and right-click to open the context menu. Click Registry Editor. If “My Computer” is not displayed on the desktop, then go to the “Start” menu and proceed in the same way.
Step 7
Close the registry when finished. You do not need to save your changes, as this is done automatically. However, remember that you cannot undo the changes. Therefore, avoid incorrect actions - this can negatively affect the operation of the operating system.
