Each time the operating system boots with default settings, it prompts for a user choice and prompts for a password. This would not have happened if there was only one account registered in the OS, and it would not have been assigned a password. However, this condition is unlikely to be met, if only for the reason that some programs create hidden accounts, without which they cannot work. Windows has the ability to disable the password prompt.
Instructions
Step 1
Log in to the system as a user with an account with full administrator rights. This is required for the operating system to allow you access to change user accounts.
Step 2
Open the program launch dialog. To do this, open the main menu of the operating system by clicking the Start button or pressing the WIN key, and select the Start command from the list. Can be used for the same purpose by pressing the WIN + R hotkey combination.
Step 3
Type a two-word command in the input field: control userpasswords2. In order not to be mistaken, you can copy the command here (CTRL + C) and paste it into the launch dialog (CTRL + V). Then click the OK button or press the Enter key. This command launches the user account management component of the operating system. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, you can also use the netplwiz command to run this component.
Step 4
Select the user account from the list for which you want to disable the password prompt. Then find the checkbox above the list of accounts that says "Require username and password" - you need to uncheck it.
Step 5
Click the "OK" button and the utility will open another dialog box with the title "Automatic login" in the title. If no password has been set for the user whose account you are changing, then leave the corresponding field blank. If there was a password, enter it.
Step 6
Click the "OK" button and this will complete the procedure for changing the operating system settings. Selecting a user and asking for a password for him in the welcome window will be canceled every time the computer boots.
