In the process of using the monitor, all kinds of blots inevitably appear on it, for example, fingerprints, smears from improper cleaning of the screen, etc. Cleaning of the monitor must be done very carefully, the use of various chemicals and rough materials can lead to a large number of scratches or even damage to the screen.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn off the monitor before cleaning the monitor. On an extinct screen, accumulated dirt is best seen. In addition, cleaning the monitor while it is operating may damage its screen and there is also the possibility of electric shock.
Step 2
Wipe the monitor cabinet with a clean cloth and mild detergent solution. Apply the solution directly to a cloth, do not spray it over the monitor, as you may damage the screen. Be sure to clean the back of the monitor and any hard-to-reach areas such as mountings, seams, and connectors. The monitor case is made of hard plastic, so it will take a long time to clean it.
Step 3
Use a soft, lint-free material to clean the monitor screen. Microfiber fabric is ideal for these purposes. Never use towels, paper towels, or other hard materials. Wipe the monitor very carefully, do not apply too much force, as this may discolor the monitor.
Step 4
If you use liquid solutions when cleaning the screen, make sure that they are not based on acetone or ammonia. A special solution for these purposes can be purchased in a store or made by yourself, for example, by mixing water and vinegar in equal proportions. Do not apply too much solution to the rag, the cloth should be slightly damp.
Step 5
If there are stubborn stains on the monitor screen, spend more time on the corresponding area of the screen. To remove such stains, it is necessary to methodically make circular movements without pressing too hard on the surface. It may take a few minutes, but this is the only way to get rid of the stain without damaging the screen itself. After removing the stain, wipe the screen with a clean dry cloth.
Step 6
When finished cleaning the monitor, allow it to dry completely. Do not turn it on if there are damp areas on it, this will prevent short circuits and save you from electric shock.
