At the moment, the gaming industry, like the production of software, has reached a new level in the creation of its projects. Some individual off-the-shelf copies may take up multiple standard DVD-format discs. With the release of dual-layer discs, it became possible to replicate the same products, but at a lower cost: most of these games or programs can now fit on one disc. But making an image from such a disc and burning it to standard discs has become a big problem.

Necessary

7-zip software, WinRar

Instructions

Step 1

It all depends on the medium to which the information will be copied. When using an archiver (WinRar or 7-zip), you need to perform the same action - create an archive with your disk image, which can be divided into several parts.

Step 2

For the 7-zip archiver, the actions will be as follows: install the program and select the disk image file, right-click on the file, select the "Add to archive" context menu item. Select the "7z" format, set the size of the parts in megabytes (if there are several of them), click "OK". As a result, you will receive your disk image split into several parts.

Step 3

For the WinRar archiver, this operation will look similar, but in the compression settings you can specify the value "No compression". This option will be useful to you if there is no time to create parts of the image at all. The archiver will split the image into parts without compression - this will save some amount of time. Specify the RAR format of the archive to be created, check the "Test files after packing" box. After clicking on the "OK" button, the creation of the archive will begin.
