Some DVD player models support limited file size. To run "heavy" films on such players, you need to divide the files into segments.

Instructions
Step 1
There are a huge number of programs designed to work with video files. If you are a fan of quality software, install the Adobe Premier utility. This is one of the most powerful graphic editors that allows you to perform almost all necessary image manipulations. The advantage of using this utility is that you do not have to convert a file or select a video of a certain format. Launch Adobe Premier and open the File menu. Go to Open Video.
Step 2
Select the video file you want to split into elements. Wait a while for the video to fully load into the editor. Now select the beginning of the file on the render bar.
Step 3
Move the cursor to the end of the first segment, hold down the Shift button and click on the desired place with the left mouse button. Now right-click on the selected area and select "Copy" (Copy).
Step 4
Launch a second copy of Adobe Premier. Right-click on the visualization bar and select Paste from the new menu. Wait for the cut fragment to load.
Step 5
Open the File menu and select Save As. Fill in the table that opens, indicating the quality of the saved file, its format, the number of frames per second, and other parameters. Enter the name of the segment and specify the folder to save it.
Step 6
Now select this element and press the Delete button. Copy and save the rest of the movie in the same way. Close the Adobe Premier windows after you finish creating the individual files.
Step 7
If you want to use free utilities, install the VirtualDub program. Remember that it is designed to work with avi files. To cut films of a different type, you must first use a special format converter.
