Instructions

Step 1

The main part of the settings, which are responsible for the appearance of elements, are located in the "Properties: Display" window. You can call it in different ways. Right-click in any area of the "Desktop" free of folders and files. Select "Properties" from the list in the drop-down menu by clicking on it with the left mouse button. The desired dialog box will open.

Step 2

Another way: through the "Start" menu, call "Control Panel". If the panel has a classic look, left-click on the "Display" icon. If Control Panel is displayed by category, click the search icon Display in the Appearance and Themes category.

Step 3

In the "Display Properties" dialog box that opens, go to the "Appearance" tab and click on the "Advanced" button - a new "Additional Appearance" window will open. In the "Item" section, use the drop-down list to select the item you want to change. For example, the title of an active window or the title of an inactive window, window control buttons, or the border of an active (inactive) window.

Step 4

In the fields located to the right of the drop-down list box, specify the desired values using the mouse or keyboard keys: font size, primary and alternative colors. After making changes, click on the OK button in the "Additional Effects" window, and in the "Properties: Display" window - click on the "Apply" button. Close the properties window by clicking on the X in the upper right corner of the window or on the OK button.

Step 5

To display the full paths to files and folders in the address bar of folders, open any folder. On the top menu bar, select Tools and the Folder Options component, a new dialog box will open. The same can be done through the Start menu. Call the "Control Panel", in the "Appearance and Themes" category, click on the "Folder Options" icon.

Step 6

In the dialog box that opens, go to the "View" tab, move through the list using the scroll bar, find the items "Display full path in the address bar" and "Display full path in the title bar". Click on the "Apply" button for the new settings to take effect, and close the properties window in the usual way.
