Each video file has video and audio tracks. In a recording, a video track is present only in one instance, however, several audio tracks can be attached to each file. This feature allows you to watch the same movie in different languages or with different voice acting. To switch audio, the corresponding functions of the players are used.

Instructions

Step 1

Open the file using any player installed on your computer. It is worth noting that the Windows Media Player included in the standard set of programs does not initially support switching audio tracks, and therefore you need to use any other utility. Among the most popular and full-featured video viewing programs are VLC, KMPlayer or Media Player Classic, which allow you to switch between audio sources.

Step 2

Download and install any of the above players. It is worth mentioning that Media Player Classic is included in the K-Lite Codecs Pack and may already be installed on your computer if you have installed the codecs before.

Step 3

After installing the program, right-click on the video you want to play. In the list that appears, select the player you just installed. Wait for the application window to launch and start playing the video.

Step 4

In case you are using the VLC media player, the switching of tracks is performed using the context menu available after right-clicking on the image playback area. Among the options that appear, select "Audio" - "Audio Track". Click on the desired track among the options offered. The selected sound will be automatically launched in the playback window along with the video.

Step 5

If you decide to use KMPlayer, the inclusion of the desired recording is done in the same way. Right-click in the program window, then select "Audio" - "Stream selection". In the list that appears, select the track you want to use.

Step 6

For Media Player Classic, a similar function is used, accessible by pressing the right mouse button. In the context menu, you need to select the Audio section, and then click on the desired audio file for playback. Also, the menu for switching parameters is available in the Play - Audio section of the top toolbar of the program.
