Step 1
To successfully overclock your video card, you need the Riva Tuner program. It was originally developed to work with nVidia devices, but is now actively used to configure video adapters from other manufacturers. Download this program and install it. If you want to track changes in device performance, then install the 3D Mark application.
Step 2
Launch Riva Tuner and open the Home tab. Go to the "System Settings" menu, which is located in the "Driver Settings" column. To do this, click on the graphic image of the video card. Check the box next to Enable driver-level overclocking. This is a prerequisite for a successful video adapter optimization procedure. Select 3D in the window that appears.
Step 3
Find the "Memory Frequency" field. It is this parameter that you need to change. Leave Riva Tuner and run 3D Mark. Analyze the performance of your graphics card. Remember the numbers you received. Increase the memory frequency of the video card by 50-100 MHz by moving the slider in the desired direction. Click the "Test" button and make sure that the video card works in this mode without failures.
Step 4
Repeat this cycle until errors appear in the operation of the device. Now click the "Apply" button, after checking the box next to the "Load settings from Windows" item. This is a required action. Otherwise, you will have to repeat the overclocking process after every PC restart.
Step 5
Open 3D Mark software and run a device performance test. Compare these figures with previous results.
