The manufacturer of the network card and the parameters of the card itself are usually indicated in the documentation for the purchased computer. Carefully study the documents that contain the parts sheet.

If you cannot find the name of the card in the proposed list, you can independently look at its marking. To do this, completely disconnect the computer from the mains and remove the side case cover. Remove from the PCI slot the network card to which your network cable was connected. Some models of network cards are provided with a special identifier, and sometimes the name of the manufacturer is indicated. After that, install the board back into the computer and connect it to the electrical network.

Some computers only have network adapters built into the motherboard. This means that the manufacturer of the network interface for your computer is the manufacturer of the motherboard. To install drivers on network equipment, go to the official website of the manufacturer and download the necessary installation files, and then run the resulting files and follow the instructions on the screen.

You can also get the name of your network card using utilities for computer diagnostics. Install the PC Wizard by downloading it from the developer's site. Then start this application and use the hardware scan function. If the device was identified, the program will display the necessary data on the screen.

You can also use the Everest utility to find the device name. Install it and open it using a shortcut on your desktop. Go to the "Devices" tab. Select the "Network Controller" item and copy the received Vendor and Device ID.

Go to PCIDatabase.com and enter the resulting data into the search bar. In the event that your device is in the resource database, you will be shown its name and characteristics.
