Instructions

Step 1

Install the Alcohol 120% program on your computer. You can use the portable version. Place the disc to be copied into the DVD drive.

Step 2

In the left part of the working window of the program, find the section "Creating images" Click on this button and go to the next page.

Step 3

In the new window, set the settings: disk read speed. If necessary, check the boxes next to the inscriptions: skip read errors, fast skip of erroneous blocks, improved sector scanning, read subchannel data from the current disk, measure positioned data. You can leave these items blank.

Step 4

If necessary, you can make changes to the "Data type" section. But it's best to use the automatic settings: by default, the program has a "custom" data type. After you make the necessary changes, click the "Next" button.

Step 5

In the next window, you will need to specify the location of the copied disk image, for this you can create a separate folder. For the convenience of searching, in the appropriate line, write the file name (you can use Russian letters, you can use Latin letters) or leave the option selected by the program.

Step 6

In the same window, you can also use the Disk Cleanup function to delete unnecessary files.

Step 7

Then press the "Start" button and wait until the copying process is complete. After the disc image has been written to your computer, the drive will open and you can eject the disc. To close the program, click the "Finish" button.

Step 8

You can burn the created image to a disc immediately after copying. To do this, use the "Burn DVD / CD from image" function. Select this item, mark the file that you want to burn to the disc, insert a blank disc into the drive and in the new window click the "Next" button.

Step 9

You can immediately after recording delete the image file from the computer memory, for this you need to put a tick in the window opposite the corresponding inscription.

Step 10

You can also view and work with the saved disk image on your computer. But for this you will need to right-click on the selected file and mount it on the virtual disk.
