To restore the Windows operating system, I often use the rollback method. To use this feature successfully, certain conditions must be met.
Necessary
Windows boot disk
Instructions
Step 1
Rollback is performed using restore checkpoints or an operating system image. If you haven't disabled the automatic archiving feature, try using them. First, insert the Windows boot disk into the drive.
Step 2
Turn on your computer and boot from the specified drive. To do this, use the BIOS menu or the Fast Boot Switching function. After entering the system installation menu, select "Recovery".
Step 3
Wait a while while the program gathers information about the available copies of Windows. Select the operating system that you want to normalize. Click "Next".
Step 4
Explore the available checkpoints. They are usually created automatically during the installation of certain programs or applications. Select the one that was recorded during the stable work of Windows.
Step 5
Click the "Restore" button and wait for this procedure to complete. After a successful system rollback, the computer will automatically restart. Check for programs that are important to you that may have been removed during the system restore process.
Step 6
To rollback Windows using an image of that system or an entire local disk, use a different method. Open the "Advanced Recovery Options" menu by running the program from the boot disk.
Step 7
Select "Image Recovery". After scanning for available drives is complete, select the desired archive. If you are storing the system image on an external drive, connect this hardware before selecting the above item.
Step 8
This recovery method has several drawbacks. When you roll back to the previous state of the local disk, you can lose not only some programs, but also important files that were not included in the image.
