Regularly creating rollback points will allow you to restore the system in the future without problems in the event of a problem. If any program or driver made changes to the system files, due to which the computer became unstable, then if there is a restore point, you can always launch a system rollback and return the computer to a working state. But in this way it is impossible to get back personal files or lost data.
Instructions
Step 1
You can create rollback points manually, but if you configure your computer to do this on a regular basis when you make changes to the operating system, you don't have to worry about it anymore. To create a restore point yourself, click "Start", then select "Control Panel", there open the item "System and Maintenance" or simply "System", depending on your version of Windows.
Step 2
In the window that opens, in the menu to the right of the main window, you will see the "System Protection" item. If prompted, enter the administrator password.
Step 3
A new window will open in which you can not only create, but also configure recovery options. To create a rollback point, click on the "Create" button at the bottom of the window.
Step 4
The System Protection dialog box appears. Enter a description for the restore point. You will need it if you are going to roll back the system. After entering the description, click "Create".
Step 5
To make System Restore regular and automatic, do not close the System Protection tab window. Select the hard drives for which you would like to enable protection, and then click OK. To disable protection, simply uncheck the boxes and click OK again.
