In the Windows operating system, files stored on a computer can be visible or invisible. The "Hidden" attribute, which is assigned by the user to a file or folder, is responsible for this. There are several ways to open a hidden folder.

Step 1
If you want the invisible folder to remain hidden, use the "Search" component. Press the Windows key or the Start button and select Search from the menu. If there is no such item, press the Windows key and F keys, or customize its display.

To configure the display of the "Search" command in the "Start" menu, right-click on the taskbar and select "Properties" from the context menu. In the dialog box that opens, go to the "Start Menu" tab and click on the "Customize" button. In the new window, open the "Advanced" tab, find the "Search" item in the list and mark it with a marker. Apply the new settings.
Step 3
After the Find component dialog box opens, expand the Advanced Options section. Mark the item "Search in hidden files and folders" with a marker. Optionally, you can set a marker in the "View subfolders" field. Next, enter the information that you know about the hidden folder (its name, creation date, and so on) in the appropriate fields. Click on the "Find" button.
Step 4
When the list is generated by request, left-click on the folder you need. It will have a translucent look. To avoid looking for a hidden folder on your computer every time, you can add it to Favorites (located in the top menu bar of any folder).
Step 5
If you want hidden folders to be displayed on your computer, configure the appropriate settings. Call the "Folder Options" component. To do this, open the Control Panel through the Start menu. In the Appearance and Themes category, select the Folder Options icon.
Step 6
In the window that opens, go to the "View" tab. In the group "Advanced options" find the item "Show hidden folders and files" and set a marker next to it. Save the new parameters. All hidden folders will become semi-transparent. Look for the folder you need in the directory where you saved it.
