Sometimes in photographs in the course of their processing by means of modern graphic editors, some objects are replaced by others. This is usually done to make the composition more expressive and colorful. So, in the photo you can replace the sky. This can be done in the editor Adobe Photoshop.
Necessary
- - Adobe Photoshop;
- - the original image;
- - the image with the sky for replacement.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the image where you want to replace the sky. Press Ctrl + O. A dialogue will appear. Specify the required file in it and click the "Open" button.
Step 2
Prepare the image for processing. Select RGB Color from the Mode section of the Image menu if it is grayscale, indexed, or grayscale. If the current layer is background, convert it to the main one by choosing the Layer From Background item of the New section of the Layer menu.
Step 3
Highlight the sky. Use the appropriate tools depending on the nature of the image. A Magic Wand with a large Tolerance and Quick Selection Tool works well. If there are objects in the sky that need to be preserved (for example, birds), exclude from the selection. Use similar ones in exclusion mode (hold down the Shift key or click mode buttons such as Subtract from selection on the top bar). If necessary, adjust the selection area in the quick mask mode.
Step 4
Replace the sky. Press the Del key or select Clear from the Edit menu. In the same way as described in the first step, load an image containing another sky image. Select it in its entirety or only the desired part (a fragment of the sky). Press Ctrl + C. Switch to the target document. Press Ctrl + V. A new layer will be created. In the Layers panel, move it below the layer in which the sky was deleted.
Step 5
Resize and position the added sky image if necessary. Press Ctrl + T keys. In the top panel, click the Maintain aspect ratio button if you want to keep the scale. Move the edges of the frame around the image to resize. Also in this mode, the image can be moved.
Step 6
Merge layers with removed and added sky. Switch to the top one. Press Ctrl + E or from the Layer menu choose Merge Down.
