Instructions

Step 1

Open both the photos you want to work with in Photoshop. It is advisable that the faces with whom you worked as little as possible differed from each other in terms of angle, illumination, color tone. Enlarge the fragment you need using the Zoom Tool. You need to cut out the face you want to replace. Switch to the Quick Mask mode (at the bottom of the toolbar, under the color icons, the icon on the left). Take a brush and paint over the desired face. Try to do this as accurately as possible, if necessary, then change the diameter of the brush. The staining will occur in a translucent red, so you can see what exactly is being painted over. If you painted over something superfluous, then, without leaving the Quick Mask mode, change the colors from black to white and make corrections. You can change colors and thus paint over and fix it many times.

Step 2

Exit the Quick Mask mode (at the bottom of the toolbar, under the color icons, the icon on the right). You will have the entire photo selected, except for the face. Invert the selection Select - Inverse. Copy the face to a new layer: right-click inside the selection, select Layer via Copy from the drop-down menu. In the Layers palette, right-click on the face layer and select Duplicate Layer from the drop-down menu. In the dialog box that appears, select the file we need from the drop-down list. Click OK.

Step 3

Select the Move Tool and move the newly pasted face to where it should be. You can rotate it using the Edit - Transform - Rotate command.

Step 4

If the colors in the main photo and in the added face are slightly different, then activate the layer with the face and use the command Image - Adjustments - Match Color. In the dialog box that appears, in Source, select the name of the document you are currently working with, Layer - the layer from which you want to take colors. Click OK.
