When connecting any device, the Windows operating system tries to recognize this device and select the appropriate driver for it. If, when connecting a flash drive in the taskbar area, the system displays the message "Delayed write error", it means that errors have occurred in the file structure of the media. This problem can be fixed.
Instructions
Step 1
Connect the flash drive to your computer and close the error message that appears by clicking on the cross in the corner of the message. Open the Disk Management utility. You can find this utility in "Computer Management", in the list on the left. The utility displays a list of media devices in the system: they include partitions for hard drives, flash drives, optical disks and memory cards. Find the section corresponding to the connected usb media.
Step 2
Click on the section with the right mouse button to activate the drop-down menu and click on the "Properties" item. The media properties window will appear, among which you can find the name, total and free space of the media, media access service, and more. On computers, it can be reflected by various data. As a rule, the name of the information carrier on a personal computer can constantly change, so carefully read this information.
Step 3
Go to the "Service" tab. Click on the "Check Now" button. Check the box "Check and repair bad sectors" (by default it is not selected), then click on the "Start" button. Wait for the utility to complete the procedure - this will take a long time, depending on the size of the media. Do not disconnect the USB flash drive from the computer until the check is complete.
Step 4
If there is no access to the content on the usb media - files and folders cannot be opened or copied, formatting must be done. This can be done in the same Disk Management section. Select the "Quick Format" checkbox to only restore the file system table. Then recover the data using the EasyRecovery recovery utility.
