Disconnecting the computer from the local network can be done in several ways. In fact, this is a minute operation, which even a person without certain skills can handle.
Instructions
Step 1
If the Internet cable plug is in the modem connector when the computer is turned on, disconnect over the local network by right-clicking on the corresponding icon in the program panel running in the background. In the menu that opens, simply select the "Disable" action. Also, a similar effect will be from double-clicking the left mouse button on this icon, while in the window that opens, select the appropriate action and wait a while for the computer to shutdown the local network.
Step 2
Open the network connections folder located in the control panel of your computer. Double-click the left mouse button on the local network connection, in the window that opens, click on the "Disconnect" button. This method is similar to the first one, it is relevant in the case when you are not configured to display the corresponding shortcut on the taskbar.
Step 3
If you need to disconnect your computer from the local network so that the IP address changes, disconnect all active connections using one of the methods described above. Gently pull out the internet cable plug from the modem and wait a few minutes. Then plug it back in (only works if you have a dynamic address type).
Step 4
To perform further work on the Internet, open the folder with network connections through the "Start" menu or on the control panel. Double click on the local network icon, after that a small power-on window should appear. The procedure does not require your intervention. Wait a while for your computer to be assigned DNS and IP addresses. Then you can connect to the Internet.
Step 5
Use the most common way to disconnect over the local network - just pull out the wire from the corresponding connector of the LAN modem, wait a while for the connection to reset in the system.
