Strikethrough text is usually used to indicate an opinion that is contrary to generally accepted, and turns the words of the author into "thinking out loud." To design text in a blog or website with strikethrough, special HTML tags are used.
Instructions
Step 1
To simply cross out a phrase or word, insert tags from the illustration at the beginning and at the end of the selection. If your blog supports preview mode, check to see if an underline is displayed.
Step 2
Use a different tag to make the strikethrough line colored. Please note that instead of the word “red” you can use any color name in English or its numerical designation.
Step 3
You can style the text and strikethrough in different colors. For this, the tags from the following illustration are suitable. Replace the words “red” and “blue” with the names of the line and text colors, respectively, or a numerical designation.
Step 4
Strikethrough text can be bold or italic. To do this, use the tags from the last illustration in the exact order shown.
