It is the sharpness of the monitor that largely determines the clarity of the image. Accordingly, it should be configured so that the image is equally clear both at the edges and in the center of the screen.

Step 1
Try adjusting the sharpness using the monitor's internal menu. To do this, enter the menu and select the Sharpness section, if the menu is not Russified, or "Sharpness". And in it you can adjust the sharpness of your monitor "for yourself".

If manipulations with the internal menu did not lead to the desired result, you can also try to customize it through the "Control Panel" menu. Enter the "Start" menu, in the pop-up window, select the "Settings" section, then "Control Panel" and select the "Display" section from the list. A simpler option is as follows: right-click on the desktop, in the window that appears, select the "Properties" menu.

In either case, a window with 5 tabs will open. Before adjusting the sharpness of the monitor, carefully study the accompanying documents for it. Adjusting the sharpness of the monitor depends largely on its model. For LCD monitors, the documents should indicate its optimal resolution. Remember these numbers.

Then, in the previously opened window, select the "Parameters" tab in it. On the left there will be a section "Screen resolution", if the resolution set there is higher or lower than the one that you remember, you need to change it to the optimal one, that is, memorized by you. If those numbers are not among the proposed options, set the one as close as possible to them.

In addition, in the "Appearance" tab, when you click on the "Effects" button, you can increase or decrease the desktop icons, which will also affect your perception of the picture.
Step 6
If you have an old CRT monitor and you are sure that sharpness deterioration does not depend on its lifespan, try the same manipulations with it. If the reason lies precisely in the service life, experts recommend replacing it with a new one. an attempt to adjust the sharpness is unlikely to result in an increase in the level of sharpness.
