Information does not always fit on the screen in documents and on Internet pages. To go to the next part of the text, you need to scroll down the page. The effects applied when scrolling can be different, and the user can customize them as desired. In particular, to make smooth scrolling, you need to perform a number of actions.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch the browser in the way you are used to. You need to call the command from the top menu bar of the browser. If you do not see the menu bar, then it is disabled. Right-click on the browser panel, in the drop-down menu, put a marker opposite the first line "Menu bar".
Step 2
In the "Tools" section, select "Settings" by clicking on it with the left mouse button - a dialog box will open. Go to the "Advanced" tab in the window that opens. In the subsections, find the General tab. On this tab, in the "Browse sites" section, put a marker in the box opposite the line "Use smooth scrolling". Click OK for the new settings to take effect.
Step 3
You can disable this option in the same way - just remove the marker from the above field and confirm the new settings. Most users use the mouse wheel to scroll. The settings that are generally responsible for the operation of the mouse wheel can be found in the "Properties: Mouse" window.
Step 4
To open the mouse properties window, go to the "Control Panel" from the "Start" menu. In the "Printers and Other Hardware" category, left-click on the "Mouse" icon. If the "Control Panel" has a classic look, click on the mouse icon immediately - the required window will open.
Step 5
Go to the "Wheel" tab. Here you can set the number of lines by which the page will scroll when using the mouse wheel. To do this, in the "Scrolling" section, specify the required number of lines using the arrow buttons or enter a value using the keyboard. If you do not need to view the text line by line, set the marker next to the line "one screen". Click the Apply button and close the properties window.
