Scrolling is necessary in order to move around a document or web page in cases where their size is not limited by the screen size. There is vertical and horizontal scrolling. If you turn off scrolling, you will not be able to fully view the resources.
Instructions
Step 1
Scrolling is a configurable parameter. Basic settings are set through the Mouse component, they are valid for all applications, and the scrolling method can be set and canceled using the browser. The last settings will take effect when working on the Internet.
Step 2
To disable smooth scrolling when browsing Internet resources, launch a browser and select the "Options" item from the "Tools" menu. For Internet Explorer - menu "Tools", item "Internet Options". If the menu is not displayed, click on the top or bottom panel in the browser window and mark the "Menu bar" or "Menu bar" item in the context menu with a marker.
Step 3
After the "Settings" window opens, go to the "Advanced" tab in it and make the "General" section active. In the "Browse Sites" group, uncheck the "Use smooth scrolling" field and click the OK button.
Step 4
To disable automatic scrolling, remove the checkmark from the "Use automatic scrolling" field. For Internet Explorer, move through the list of available settings using the scroll bar until you find the items you want.
Step 5
For general scrolling options, refer to the Mouse component. To do this, call the "Control Panel" through the "Start" menu. In the "Printers and Other Hardware" category, click on the "Mouse" icon.
Step 6
In the "Properties: Mouse" window that opens, go to the "Wheel" tab and adjust the scrolling according to your requirements. The marker set in the "Screen" field will shift the image on the monitor by a distance equal to the height of the screen.
Step 7
If this parameter is too large for you, set the marker in the field "For the specified number of lines" and enter the desired value using the keyboard or arrow buttons. The value "zero" cannot be set. Apply the new settings and close the window.
