Think a few times before calling a computer technician to your home. Perhaps you yourself are able to make some of the most common manipulations, as a result of which your computer will work as before.
So, your computer started to work somehow wrong. The speed of work became slower, began to slow down strongly, the operating system began to load longer, programs began to run longer, etc. And in order to remedy the situation, you naturally call a computer wizard, but is this necessary? Let's figure out what actions the wizard performs during the repair of your computer.
Removing unused programs
Most of the users are not very well versed in the intricacies of installing various programs. Very often, when installing a program, people do not pay attention to various kinds of checkboxes that are active by default. If you do not uncheck this checkbox, one or even several programs are installed on the computer with the main program, from which there is absolutely no sense, but they load the RAM and use processor resources. This slows down your computer.
Most often this happens when installing all kinds of free programs, in particular antiviruses, browsers, etc. The user simply does not pay attention to such trifles, pressing the button further, then, without realizing it, he clogs his computer with junk programs.
This is just the master's hand. The wizard removes such programs through the task manager. This frees up not only a part of the free space on the hard disk, but also the RAM, and the load on the possessor becomes less, therefore the computer starts working faster.
Excluding unnecessary programs from startup
Have you noticed that a new computer, immediately after purchase, boots quickly, and over time it loads more and more slowly? This is due to the fact that after installing a program, it most often goes to startup, i.e. such a program is loaded along with the operating system and runs in the background, filling the RAM and processor resources.
Programs do this for a faster start, but at the same time, the system is littered and, consequently, slowed down.
The wizard simply removes unnecessary programs from startup, and the computer starts working much faster.
Cleaning the registry from unnecessary and temporary files
A procedure such as cleaning the registry is mandatory, and any wizard performs these simple manipulations.
True, this does not always save the situation, this procedure can only help if your computer is too running, if the computer has an incredible amount of junk files that interfere with the normal functioning of the system.
But if you optimize the registry, this can lead to a performance increase of 30 percent, which is an excellent indicator.
The wizards are usually cleaned and optimized by third-party programs such as CCleaner or RegOrganizer. You can also perform this procedure with the built-in utilities, but the first option is preferable.
Anti-virus scan
Well, as part of repairing your computer, the wizard runs it with an antivirus. Which is the most useless procedure.
Free antiviruses are not only useless; they are not able to find even half of modern viruses, but also harmful. Antivirus that constantly hangs in processes can fill up to half of the RAM and processor resources. Alternatively, immediately after the scan, the antivirus program should be removed. But in this case, when you reinstall the antivirus program, the likelihood of finding and removing malicious programs is further reduced.
This is probably all that the average computer wizard can offer you. And if you set a goal and spend a couple of hours of time, such simple operations can be performed by any person who is a little familiar with the computer.
