Until now, the developers of computer technology have not figured out how to protect network cards from voltage surges that may arise due to a lightning strike or a banal accumulation of static electricity on wires. As a result, the network card "burns out", and in order to avoid problems with connecting a new card, it is necessary to disconnect the "burned out" one.

Instructions
Step 1
For hardware enable / disable of various devices, each computer has a special basic input-output system, commonly referred to as BIOS. Different manufacturers of motherboards provide user access to the BIOS in different ways, but the principle is the same for all of them. To enter the BIOS, immediately after turning on the computer, you must press one of the keys: delete, F10, F2 or Esc. Which key you need to press depends on the manufacturer of the motherboard. If the first time you failed to enter the BIOS, do not be discouraged, restart the computer and repeat the described operation again, but with a different key and so on, until you get into the BIOS.
Step 2
Once you enter the BIOS, you will see a blue screen, with setup items, divided into two parts. From all these points, you need to use the arrows on the keyboard to select the section, in the name of which there is the word "Integrated".
Step 3
After you enter this section, find a line with approximately the following content - "Onboard LAN Controller". Opposite this line, if the network card is not already disabled, the status will be “Enabled” or “Enhanced”. You need to change it to "Disabled" using the keyboard. After you have changed the status, press the ESC key and you will be returned to the start menu.
Step 4
Then in the second half of the screen, you must select an item called "Save Settings". A window will appear in which you will be asked in English if you want to save the changes. Agree by pressing the "Y" KEY.
Step 5
Next, you need to press ESC again, after which the system will ask if you really want to exit the BIOS with the new settings, press "Y", and the computer will automatically reboot.
