A certain part of motherboards have built-in video adapters. Especially often such devices can be found in mobile computers. To fully use the PC, you must choose the right active equipment.

Step 1
First, try deactivating the unnecessary video adapter using the system board firmware features. Turn on your personal computer. Enter the BIOS menu by pressing the desired function key.

Explore the available items in the launched menu. Open the additional options tab and go to the Priority Video Card item. Select the required video adapter and press the Enter key.
Step 3
Open the list of installed video cards. Highlight the device to be disabled with the cursor. Set the parameter to Disable for it. Go to the main BIOS menu window. Save your settings and restart your computer.
Step 4
In a situation where you always need to use the integrated video chip, it is best to physically disconnect the discrete card. Turn off your computer. Unplug the system unit cable from the socket.
Step 5
Open the block body by removing the required wall. Find a discrete video card. Disconnect the device from the monitor by unplugging the correct cable. Use your fingers to push the latch and remove the hardware. Remember to connect the monitor cable to the video out port on your motherboard.
Step 6
Turn on the computer and check the functionality of the integrated video chip. If the equipment is not automatically detected, the display will not show an image. In this case, reconnect the discrete board to the computer.
Step 7
Open the BIOS menu and set the priority for the integrated video adapter. Disconnect the discrete card. Repeat the procedure to remove this device. In the event that you have difficulties with entering the operating system, select the VGA mode with a resolution of 640x480. Then update the drivers for the integrated video card.
Step 8
This procedure can also be carried out in the safe mode of Windows. To prevent the described problem from occurring, uninstall the discrete video card drivers in advance.
