Smilies are a graphic image of a person's emotions, which often serve to concretize the meaning of a written message or to express a particular state, reaction or attitude to what is written. They have become widespread when communicating on the Internet and via SMS.
Instructions
Step 1
If your messaging program supports smilies, click on the icon that opens a container with them and select the one you need in the message input mode. Please note that not all clients support the display of certain emoticons, so often your interlocutor receives a message with symbols.
Step 2
If your messenger does not support emoticons, you can draw them manually using symbols, the same applies to various resources that do not support their display. For example,:) means a smile, the same smile with a parenthesis in the opposite direction - sadness,;),;-),; v) are variations of a winking smiley. Step 3
If you want to print an emoticon in an SMS message, go to the character input mode. Please note that many modern phone models already have their own set of emoticons for inserting into messages, this function is available from the phone menu or, if your phone has a qwerty keyboard, by pressing the Sym button next to the spacebar.
Step 4
Download and install an additional smiley pack into your messaging program. Very often they can be found on various thematic forums and on the support sites of your program. Download only those emoticons that fit your messaging client's build.
Step 5
After downloading, check the program for viruses and install it in the folder where the installation files of your program are located. Please note that in this case the messenger must be closed. Also, for some programs, downloading and installing emoticons in the form of.gif"
