Equipped with black and color cartridges, an inkjet printer is used for black and white and color printing. To print with color ink only, you must select certain options in the printer preferences in the Properties dialog box.

Instructions
Step 1
Control the selection of color options in the Color and Paper / Quality tabs. Depending on the software you are using, there may be some differences in the names of the tabs, attributes, and buttons in the Properties dialog box.
Step 2
Open the Color and Paper / Quality tabs alternately in the Properties dialog box. Check out all the printing options for your particular printer. Various equipment manufacturers are developing their color printing capabilities. But in general, the methods for choosing to work with color inks are the same.
Step 3
Decide for what purpose you need color printing, select the appropriate printer settings in this case on the appropriate tabs.
Step 4
Select "Best" or "High" quality when printing high quality images. To reproduce the original colors when printing digital photos, look at the Color Area option. With this option, color inks are blended to produce a specific shade.
Step 5
If you do not need a very high quality color image, select the appropriate print quality. It includes: "draft", "fast" or "normal" (other variants of the names are possible: "draft print", "economical print", "normal print"). This will significantly reduce the consumption of color ink.
Step 6
Some printers have an "Ink-backup" option when using one cartridge. If black ink is low or missing, set to print with the tri-color cartridge. In this case, colors will be rendered as usual, and blacks will have a grayish tint.
Step 7
To print with the best color ink, go to the Paper / Quality tab and set the Type to the appropriate paper for the best print results.
