A patch is a file that installs an add-on for a game, i.e. updating it to a specific version. The patch is used to fix problems in the program or change its functionality, appearance, improve performance.
Instructions
Step 1
Find out the exact version of the installed patch in order to remove it. Click on the "Start" button, select the "Control Panel" option, then go to the "Add or Remove Programs" item. Find the installed patch in the list, click the "Remove" button.
Step 2
Or use a program to uninstall applications that are on your computer. For example, Uninstall Tool or CCleaner. Select a patch from the list, open the context menu on it, select "Uninstall". If this method fails to delete the file, follow the steps below.
Step 3
Use Clean Installer to remove game patches. Run the program, in the upper left corner select the Downloads folder or another folder where the updates were installed. Wait while the program scans all files. The files that will be highlighted in red are patches.
Step 4
Right-click on them, select Remove to uninstall the patch, or Disable to deactivate it - then it won't affect the game. You can enable it if necessary.
Step 5

Download and install the app. You can use it not only to install new patches for the game, but also to return to earlier versions. To rollback the game to a newer patch, select the file. Patches consist of two files, one of which is archive, the other is informational. Select the second file to roll back the game to the previous patch.
Step 7
If it was not possible to remove the patch for the game using the previous methods, then you need to copy all your saved games, then delete the game from the computer, then reinstall it and apply the desired patch.
