The.nrg format is one of the popular disk image formats. It is used by the Ahead Nero program. There are several ways to write files of this format.
Instructions
Step 1
Insert a disc you have prepared for recording into your computer. Launch the Ahead Nero Burning Rom program. Select "Open" from the "File" menu. Using the dialog box that appears, find the required file in.nrg format, then select it and click the "Open" button. You can also open the file using the corresponding button on the program toolbar.
Step 2
In the window that opens, set the desired settings for recording. Select the "Determine maximum speed" item if you do not want to specify the disc writing speed yourself. Check the box next to the "Record" item. If you need to make sure that the disc will be burned without errors, check the box next to the "Simulate" item. This check will allow you not to damage the disk in case of a possible error. Check the box next to "Finalize disc" if you do not plan to write any information to the remaining free space in the future.
Step 3
Click the Burn button. The recording process will begin, the progress of which will be displayed in the window that opens. Wait until the end and click on the "Finish" button.
Step 4
You can also write data in the.nrg format using virtual disk emulator programs. Typical examples are Alcohol 120%, Daemon Tools, etc. Select one of the applications and launch it.
Step 5
Add a new virtual drive to the system using the program interface. Click on the created drive with the right mouse button, select "Mount" and in the dialog box that appears, specify the required image in.nrg format, then click the "Open" button.
Step 6
Using Explorer, open the folder with the virtual disk. To do this, right-click on it and select "Open". Select all files, right click on them and select "Copy". After that, open the folder of the disc prepared for burning, right-click and select "Paste". On the toolbar of the current window, click the Burn CD button. Wait for the process to finish.
