The desire to change the name of the Counter Strike server usually arises when installing a ready-made server bearing the name of the author - you always want something of your own. Solving the problem will not take much time and will not require any special knowledge or skills.
Instructions
Step 1
Press the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Programs" item to perform the operation of renaming the Counter Strike server.

Expand the "Accessories" link and select "Windows Explorer".
Step 3
Launch the application of your choice and locate the server.cfg file located at: drive_name: CSstrike_server.

Open the file you find in Notepad and find the line containing the value for hostname.
Step 5
Replace all values after the hostname parameter in quotation marks with the desired name of your server (example: hostname "Super-Games.ru Zombies Disaster Horror" change to hostname "selected server name").

Log in and go to the game server console to perform an alternate operation to change your Counter Strike server name.
