When the PC suddenly restarts without any instructions from the user, it is unpleasant. Plus, such computer antics threaten the loss of data that has not been saved. You can fix the situation by understanding the cause of spontaneous reboots. Because this non-standard PC behavior is just a signal that something is wrong with it.
Instructions
Step 1
The most common explanation for constant reboots is banal overheating. Clean the system cabinet, paying special attention to the fans. Change the thermal grease on the processor. Then download the Aida64 software or the Everest that preceded it from the official website and look at the temperature sensors through the program window. If the temperature is higher than normal, install additional fans, change the processor cooler, install cooling on the hard drive.
Step 2
In older PCs, reboots often cause gradually failing hardware. Check the motherboard, RAM, power supply and processor. Defective parts will have to be replaced. Look at the wattage of the PSU - it should be enough to run all the components at maximum load. If the block is weak, put a more powerful one, preferably with a margin.
Step 3
Also, a virus like Blaster for Win32 can cause reboots. You can get rid of it from a bootable media like Rescue Disk from Kaspersky or LiveCD from DrWeb. Boot from the media, following the instructions of the program, disinfect the PC, and after rebooting, install a normal antivirus program on the system.
Step 4
It happens that flaws in the system become the cause of reboots. For the OS to work normally, it must be licensed, and it must be installed from a blank installation disk. No assemblies. Then the drivers are installed - chipset, LAN / Wi-Fi, sound, video. Only after that additional programs for printers and other peripherals are installed. All drivers must be fresh and downloaded from the official site.
