The range of speaker systems designed for working with personal computers is increasing every day. When choosing speakers for a PC, you need to determine the purpose of purchasing this device and find out the capabilities of your computer, or rather, its sound card.
Instructions
Step 1
Select your speaker type. Most often you can find the following configurations: 2.0, 2.1 and 5.1. The first type includes systems consisting of two active columns. The second and third kits include several satellites and a subwoofer. The purpose of the latter is to reproduce sound with low frequencies. For home use, it is better to choose a 2.0 or 2.1 system.
Step 2
If you like to watch high quality movies, and your computer sound card supports operation with five satellites and a subwoofer, then get a 5.1 system. Usually the speakers in these loudspeakers are relatively small. They are designed to reproduce clear sound, not loud sound.
Step 3
If you still focused on 2.0 systems, then study the characteristics of the speakers you like. Find out the range of audio frequencies that the speakers can transmit. For listening to modern electronic music, it is preferable to choose acoustics with a good "upper" indicator.
Step 4
Pay attention to the number of stripes (speakers) for each speaker. Typically, each speaker is designed to reproduce sound in a specific frequency range. Those. the more bands there are in the speaker, the clearer the sound will be. Three and four-way speaker systems have good performance.
Step 5
System 2.1 does not require three-way satellites at all. The bass will be reproduced almost entirely by the subwoofer. Pay attention to the power ratio of the speakers and the subwoofer. Powerful subs tend to be more expensive. The combined use of such a subwoofer and weak satellites will lead to severe sound distortion, because the emphasis will be on the reproduction of low frequencies.
