A special Excel editor has been created by Microsoft developers to create tables. However, you can also make a table in Word. It is quite simple to create it and arrange it in accordance with the requirements of the work, but it is impossible to enter formulas into the table in a text editor; you will have to fill it in manually.
Instructions
Step 1
To make a table in Word, go to the "Insert" tab in the top panel of the editor and find the "Table" section there. Click on it and select with the mouse the required number of cells in accordance with the required sections of the table.
Step 2
If you need to create more columns or rows, select the "Insert table" item and in the window that appears, enter the dimensions in numbers. There you can also choose the option to auto-fit the column widths. It is convenient to size the cells according to their contents.
Step 3
If you need to enter formulas into your table, you can call Excel table directly from a text editor, if the corresponding program is installed on your computer. If you need to insert an ordinary table list or calendar, then you can use express tables.
Step 4
When you create a table in Word, you can start editing and filling it. While highlighting the corresponding text, change its color, size, writing method. Use the "Paragraph" tab to set up indents, spacing, justification. Typically, text in the body of a table is printed in Times New Roman 14, left-aligned, single-spaced. The first line is an exception; it is centered and highlighted in bold.
Step 5
If you need to add a new column or row to the Word table, use the "Draw Table" section and draw the lines manually in the necessary places.
Step 6
To change the width of the columns or the height of the rows, hover the mouse over the line. When you see the arrows pointing in different directions, pull the line in the desired direction until you get the desired result.
Step 7
You can change the border parameters and fill the cells using a special window in the "Home" tab in the upper editor panel. It's so easy to make a table in Word and edit it.
