All inkjet printers have one common property related to the very principle of their work. They use liquid consumables - ink that is enclosed in a cartridge. At the same time, they, like most other liquids, have an unpleasant habit of drying out. Given the very small size of the print head nozzles, even a small amount of dried ink is sufficient to cause problems with printing documents and images.

Step 1
Start the printer management software from the Printers tab on the Start menu. Select the required printer in the list, right-click on its icon and in the pop-up context menu click on the inscription "Properties".
Step 2
The printer control window appears with several tabs at the top. Select the Maintenance tab and then the Printhead Cleaning menu item (it may be called Nozzle Cleaning or something similar). In this case, two options will be available, regular cleaning or deep cleaning. You should start with the usual one, because in the process of performing the operation, ink is consumed, and with deep cleaning - in much larger quantities. Start the cleaning procedure by following the instructions that appear on the screen.
Step 3
Wait until the end of the operation and print a test page, however, the program itself will offer to do this. See if there are gaps in the print and, in general, if there is a noticeable improvement. If the problem persists, run a deep cleaning of the nozzles, you may need to do this several times. Check the cleaning result and close the printer control window.
Step 4
If the measures described above do not fix the problem, then the head is clogged very "tightly". As a last resort, you can try to hold the cartridge nozzles in a special resuscitation solution, which is easy to buy at supplies stores. You can give the cartridge for service, entrusting this procedure to specialists. If this does not help, you will have to buy a new cartridge.
