To clarify the speed, you need to record about ten small files of the same total size and measure the time of their recording. Then you can calculate the average speed from the two results obtained and further focus on it. To determine the reading speed, we carry out the reverse operation in the same order: we read a large file from a USB flash drive to a hard disk, measure the reading time, read the same volume of small files and measure the time again. We calculate the speed of reading in both cases. The arithmetic mean of these two speeds will indicate the speed of reading information from a specific flash drive on a given computer with an operating system installed on it.

If the obtained read / write speed of the flash drive is not sufficient to work with large amounts of information, then you can purchase a NAND memory stick, which has a higher performance.
