It is necessary

  • - network hub;
  • - patch cords.

Instructions

Step 1

Select a desktop or mobile computer through which other devices will access the Internet. It is better to use a stationary PC, because it must be always on. In addition, the selected device must have at least two network adapters.

Step 2

If you do decide to use a mobile computer, purchase a USB-LAN adapter that allows you to connect the patch cord to the specified port. Install this device and update the drivers for it.

Step 3

Connect an Internet access cable to one of the network cards. Open the list of active connections. Set up a connection to the provider's server. In this case, be guided by the recommendations of the specialists of the company providing Internet access services.

Step 4

Connect the patch cord to another network adapter. Connect the free connector of this cable to the switch. With the last device, in turn, connect the rest of the local computers. To do this, use straight crimped twisted pairs.

Step 5

On the server computer, open the list of network connections. Open the properties of the network card connected to the switch. Set its IP address to 192.215.100.1. Do not change the rest of the TCP / IP parameters.

Step 6

Go to the properties of an active Internet connection and select the "Access" tab. Check the box next to the item that activates the public connection. In the next field, enter the name of your local network.

Step 7

Configure the TCP / IP settings of other PCs. Use the following values: - 192.215.100. X - IP address - 255.255.255.0 - Subnet mask - 192.215.100.1 - Preferred DNS server - 192.215.100.1 - Default gateway. In this case, the X parameter must be greater than one and less than 250.
