Go to your mail server website. For example, your mail server is mail.ru. You will need to log in - that is, enter your username and password - to enter your personal mailbox. Find the help link and click on it.

The page indicates that the name of the incoming mail server is pop.mail.ru, and the outgoing server is smtp.mail.ru. This applies only to this service. As a rule, each post server can have different ports, so go to the official website in the support center and find out the data. The port numbers of the outgoing and incoming mail servers are listed at the bottom of the page. It says that for the incoming mail server the protocols have numbers 110 (if the mail program works without encryption) and 995 (with encryption). To find out which digit to enter, study the settings of your mail program. The port number of outgoing mail is 25, 587, or 2525 (if the mailer does not use encryption) and 465 (with encryption). Standard mail ports are 110 and 25. Standard port numbers can also be written in the program by default, so if necessary, you will need to correct them to the correct ones.
