The graphics card is almost entirely responsible for building graphics on a computer. However, if this important part of a modern computer is not powerful enough, there may be delays in its playback. Consequently, some programs and games will not work with the required performance. In this case, overclocking the video card can help.

Step 1
To speed up the graphics, first you need to find out who is the manufacturer of the video card that is installed in the computer. To do this, you can look at the documentation with which the computer was shipped and see the characteristics of the board. You can also go to the Windows Device Manager ("Run" - "Device Manager", or right-click on the desktop computer icon - "Properties" - "Device Manager"), and examine the item "Video adapters".
Step 2
If the video card has the Nvidia mark, then you can use the special overclocking program RivaTuner. The program will generate the necessary data and configure its parameters for the most accurate control of the board properties. The program must be launched after the reboot suggested by the installer. In the main window, in the driver settings item, you need to click on a kind of triangle located in the window on the right, after which a drop-down menu will open. It selects "System settings" (the first icon on the left of the video card).
Step 3
In the window that opens, check the "Enable driver-level overclocking" box. Frequencies should be adjusted gradually, 5-10 MHz. In case of any problems with the image, the frequency should be reduced, and the slider should not be set above it. To apply the settings, you need to check the "Load settings from Windows" checkbox and click the "Apply" button.
Step 4
For ATI video cards, there is a simple and small ATI Tray Tools program that allows you to change the frequency of the core and memory in the same way. The program is intuitive to use.
