You often watch movies and videos online. I would like to preserve them somehow. It so happens that the resource on which you are watching them does not allow downloading. This is not a hindrance, because you can save them on your computer's hard drive using the browser cache. How to do this, read on.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch your browser. Then go to the site where you watch videos or movies online. To copy the cache, you need to know which folder it is saved to. Open File Explorer or an alternative such as Total Comander. Go to the directory where your browser is installed.
Step 2
Find the cache folder. All videos that you watch on the Internet are automatically saved to this folder. At the end of the viewing, they are automatically deleted. There is a misconception that RAM resources are used to store files in the browser cache. If we are talking about a video with a duration of about 20 minutes, this is logical, but when you watch films, the duration of which can be up to three hours, then it would be reasonable to assume that this information could simply overload the RAM and cause the computer to freeze.
Step 3
Find a file in the cache folder that is continually changing its size. This is the file you are currently viewing online. To save the cache, do the following.

After the video or movie is fully downloaded, copy it and move it to another directory. To view it later, rename it with the extension swf at the end. This instruction is suitable not only for copying a multimedia product, but also for any other information that is temporarily stored in the cache folder.
Step 5
If you are unable to locate this folder manually, trace its address using your browser settings. To do this, click on the toolbar item "Help", in it select "About". A list will appear. In it, select "Path block". Then, to quickly find the directory, press Ctrl + F and enter the word cache. Then press the Enter button. In the list, select the item that reflects the location of the previously mentioned folder on your hard drive.
