Step 1

Turn on your computer and wait for the operating system to load. Open the start menu and go to the control panel. Select the "System and Security" menu. In the menu that opens, go to the "Backup and Restore" item.

On the right side of the menu, find the "Create Recovery Drive" item. Select the drive where the blank DVD is inserted and click the Burn Disc button. Wait for the boot disk creation to complete.

For successful use of this disk, it is recommended to create an image of the operating system. To carry out this process, go to the item "Create a system image". Select the partition on your hard drive or portable USB drive where you want to place the created image. Click "Next".

A window will open containing a list of partitions to be backed up. Click the Create Image button to start the process.

If you need to create a disk from which you can install an operating system, then you need a special program. First, find the image file of the installation disk and download it.

Install the Nero Burning Rom program. Start it up. In the first menu, select the DVD-ROM (Boot) option. In the Download menu, specify the path to the previously downloaded ISO file. It is recommended to use an image file of this format.

Click the New button. Do not add additional files to this drive. Click the "Record" button. In the menu that appears, set the writing speed of the future boot disk. The recommended speed value in this case is 8x. Activate the item "Finalize disc".

Step 8

Insert a blank DVD into your disc reader. Click the Burn button. Wait for the boot disk creation process to complete. Check the performance of the burned disc.
